Alan has kindly agreed to share his predictions for today’s games. He did enquire if a prize was on offer for any correct predictions. Sadly not; gratitude will have to suffice. Thanks Alan.
Predictions by Alan Comments by Thanks Alan
LIVERPOOL vs SWANSEA (1230 ko) If ever there was a result so completely set in stone before the ball has seen the light of day, let alone been kicked, this is it. The Reds are behind Spurs on goal difference as the chasing pack look to keep within striking distance of leaders Chelsea, and a point above Arsenal. It’s tight at both ends of the table and the Swans will take some hope from the single point that separates them from 17th spot. But form, quality, home advantage and everything else will be in Liverpool’s favour. Home win.
Alan: 3-0
BOURNEMOUTH vs WATFORD Both these sides are in a spell of poor form, and Watford have not won their last five away games. You feel that the Cherries are marginally the better side and should make home advantage count. Home win.
Alan: 2-1
CRSYTAL PALACE vs EVERTON Well now, what’s with BFS? One point from four games in charge isn’t the sort of return Palace would have expected or hoped for. It’s hard to see that record improving today as they face a strong and determined Everton side. Away win.
Alan: 0-2
MIDDLESBORO vs WEST HAM UNITED Despite Boro’s appalling lack of goals, Aitor Karanka has done a good job in keeping them above the relegation zone for much of the season so far. He is like a cautious saver looking for long-term returns by banking a point here and a point there. He’ll be looking for at least one more point today, but comes up against a team curiously strengthened by the Payet imbroglio. And with a striker buzzing after his truly exceptional goal last weekend. Three points for the happy Hammers. Away win.
Alan: 0-0
STOKE vs MAN UTD If Mark Hughes can fine-tune Saido Berehino’s brain, he could prove to be one of the Premier League season’s best signings. His arrival should boost his new club, which has experienced a strangely inconsistent season. But beware the wounded tiger. Jose Mourinho is smiling again and that’s rarely a good sign for the opposition. Man U will be desperate to join the top table and mount a serious challenge for a top four spot. Away win.
Alan: 1-2
WEST BROM vs SUNDERLAND I wonder if David Moyes has ever regretted taking on the Sunderland challenge? His team are second from bottom, but just one point from a position of safety. This is the kind of game that he has to grind out something from if the Black Cats are to keep within spitting distance of safety. Not one for the purists this. Home win.
Alan: 2-1
MAN CITY vs TOTTENHAM (1730 ko) Today’s fixture list has saved the best for pudding. Rivalries aside, Spurs have served up some of the best football in the country in recent weeks. But with Jesus now on their side, City will be praying for a change in their fortunes. It’s going to be all about strategy this evening and it should be an absolute cracker. Draw.
Alan: 1-2

I know people won't like it today because they're playing Tottenham but Sterling makes his own 'luck' with penalties by going down like a cunt at every opportunity.
We'll see how many people.are fighting his corner Wexmesday week.

Clear pen on sterling. Why the lino didn't insist on it with his far better view heaven knows.
City's new boys starting well.
